GM works to pave the way for plug-in vehicles

Plug-in hybrids and extended range electric vehicles will soon be on the road in large numbers, and GM and Saturn will play a big role in the introduction of this new technology. In preparation for these "electrified" vehicles, GM is partnering with an electric utilites group to make sure that everything from codes and standards to grid capability is ready for such revolutionary vehicles as the Saturn Vue Plug-in Hybrid and the Chevrolet Volt. Outlook MPG: The best gets better

The Saturn Outlook has a lot great attributes, but one of its most notable characteristics is its amazing combination of utility and fuel economy. For 2009, the Outlook still hauls eight people comfortably, but its fuel economy improves with the addition of direct injection to the 3.6L V6 engine. For the new model year, fuel economy for the Outlook FWD is 17 city/24 highway, an increase of one mpg in the city. The AWD Outlook gets 16 city/23 highway, an increase of one mpg on the highway. T… Continue

Hi Mike,
I have a question for you.
Will the 09 Aura still have the front mounted "On Star" antenna,or will it be moved to the back like the Malibu.
Thank You...
Chris

Mike thanks for your comment but I am so disappointed with my car and the way I have been treated. My car is once again in for service on the same thing! 4 times is a charm?! I understand that every now and then a faulty anything is made. I work in retail also and have spent my fair share of time as a customer service representative. I am totally fed up. This is now the 5th time I have had to bring my brand new saturn in to be fixed. When is enough, enough? I thought your company was supposed to be so customer supportive? I got a lovely hat in the mail from saturn. I assume it is for me to wear while standing in the sun waiting for the tow truck to come and tow my ion back to the dealer for service. I am to the point now that I just want out. All I keep hearing is that it is still inder warrantee. Well that is great, however my car doesnt even have 5,000 miles on it! Was can't saturn just acknowledge that it is a lemon and fix the situation. I'm afraid to drive it anywhere besides work because I don't want to be stranded. Unless you can help me out, thanks anyway.

Thanks for your comments Mike. I guess my frustration is with what the previous generation Vue was and what is offered now. The amount of interior space has dropped and fuel economy hasn't improved on the non-GL models. Both deal breakers for me. The reports I had seen on the '08 GL's have indicated fuel economy very close to the previous generation Vue which leads me to question it's true potential as a hybrid. Like many, I want to have my cake and eat it too. Good fuel economy, ample space for 4, a roof rack for camping trips and comparable pricing. All I am saying is that I haven't found that in the '08 Vue and I found it in the competition's vehicles which disappoints me.

Mike, Meet Photos are up. Not many, but it's what I've got. This fall should warrant a larger turn out like last year did. Spring is hard for people around here to get out apparently, but it was nice having a small meet. More interpersonal interactions that way. We had a great time. BLUSKY (you can guess what he brought) drove all the way down from Kansas City, and plans on returning in the fall. The rest of us are local. Me (Sullivan), Jason (JRSTANGE)(Pacific), and Matt(waterboy) hang out at least once a month, so there's always something going on.

hello sir, thank you for responding to my message. the astra has a lot of potential. saturn should really go with the astra redline. hop up the hp to a minimum of 220hp. as far as styling goes. well, i have more than enough ideas circulating through my head. from body kits to lip kits, and spoilers. its a pretty well priced vehicle, which most of the younger generation would be interested in but, if there isnt much after market parts for it, people tend to have less interest in that vehicle. car enthusiasts like to show their personalities through their vehicle. and if there isnt much options, then there isnt much of a market for that car. so if my ideas will really go somewhere, contact me. im a good artist and i can design many after market parts that are trendy or that will become trendy. and we all know trendy = $$$. thank you for your time sir.

Mike,

I left you a comment on my 300,000 mile page regarding high mileage Saturns. I don't know of too many, but I do know of two other members on Saturnfans.com who have high mileage Saturn S-Series cars.
