Hydro Blue on Ebay

Saw a Hydro Blue posted on Ebay...happened to be near-by in West Chester, PA so we took a "Sky drive" to take a peak...pictures do not do that car justice...very, very pretty blue....could live with out the silver stripe, but nice wheels and the blue stitching on the interior is sweet!!!!! The sticker was $35ish.....if you are in the area it's worth a look!

Windshield Wipers

Wondering if the wipers (the whole arm) are the same as a Solstice. Don't ask why I need to know:banghead: We have a local Pontiac dealer, but have an hour drive for Saturn. If not, is there a supporting vendor that I could order from or will I need to go through Saturn? Any advice on how to get them off? Thanks!

GMPP Tune

I am considering the GMPP tune. I must say I am currently very happy withthe performance. But, if I can get a few more RELIABLE ponys I will be very tempted. I did a search but turned up some old threads on the GMPP reliability. Intercooler issues and bad flashes seem to be the main issues. Looking for some up to date info in the GMPP tune. Should I do it? this car will be a daily driver and I do not want to blow up the motor to get a few more ponys. I also am considerin the GM cat back. I want a little more rumble and the Magnaflow seems a bit too loud. I heard the GM package is the same is a BORLA. Is that true?? Thanks

Did you know that goats love a SKY!

Well a buddy of mine a I were doing a little jamming in a storage building for several hours. I live in a apartment so drums and guitars don't mesh to well. :) This facility has goats on the premises but I thought nothing of it. I usually ride with my bud but this day I met him there. He parked on one side of the entrance to the door and I parked on the other side. There are other cars in this area that run and some don't. Anyway, when we decided to leave we went out to our cars and guess what? I had goat **** on my trunk, goat **** on my roof and goat **** on my hood!:brentil: Car was dirty so I didn't see any scratches but I washed it a few days later and found several. :banghead: Not surprised about scratches but was surprised that there wasn't more of them. The good thing is that they are not bad and removable with a little help of some scratch remover and a porter cable. Glad I purchased one beforehand! To say the least I will not park inside the gate any more with the SKY. Do you think they were trying to make a statement?? Damn goats!!!!

5 spoke wheels - Hard to find for redline!!

Hello all, I'm new to the forum. :) I have been searching for 2 weeks now and I can't find any 5 spoke wheels that look nice for my 08 Redline. Apparently the redline has a different break configuration that severely limits the kind of wheels you can get. Here's my ideal wheel: Image: http://www.sevenfoldfilms.com/temp/AMforged.jpg *AM Forged Wheels The only issue is, these cost around $4K just for the wheels with no tires. My price range is more around $2K. Does anyone have any wheels on their redlines like these that they know fit!? Let me know, thanks! - Ralph

First Cruise-In

Last night I worked up the nerve to participate in my first car show of any type. I picked this show because it's local and low-key (no judges).

At first I felt really out of place. I don't have any significant mods, and I'm pretty sure I was the newest car there, since the main focus is the classic cars (the special interest section consisted of about 20 cars, and 8 of those were Corvettes), but after a while I overcame that and there wer… Continue

Ordered my Opel GT Antenna

OK, I'm finally doing something about the 'bumper car' stock antenna. After doing some research on SkyRoadster forum I decided that the Opel GT antenna (GM part 25805645) was the choice for me, and needed to find a source. It is available on-line, but they don't take Canadian credit cards or ship to Canadian addresses. After going through my local dealer, GM Canada head office… Continue

Mecca II was a Hit!

Just got back home late Sunday (as some may know, we had a detour via OBX for a week after the event). We're unpacked, but haven't had time to wash the car or other important stuff yet.

I have to say that the event was a big success in my opinion. The plant personnel put on a great event. The "loot bags" were really above-and-beyond my expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised by the team in the TLC tent, despite the bad weather. What I wanna know if the Sky die-cast being the correct colour… Continue

Wilmington or Bust!

Woo Hoo!

The day has finally come when we hit the road for Wilmington for the Mecca II factory tour. The weather is getting me down a bit (probably not much top-down driving), but I'm really pumped about meeting the other folks from the Sky Roadsters and Pontiac Solstice forums.

And the tour of the factory is going to be awesome!

I'll post a review and hopefully I'll remember to take some pics (usually I forget all about the camera when I'm enjoying myself).

I customized my Splash Guards

I've been meaning to post this somewhere for a while (I installed these before last fall).

I found that the GM splash guards (ordered through the Saturn dealer) look nice but aren't very effective, so I decided to try a simple modification to use them as the backers for some more traditional mud flaps.

I bought the mud flaps at the local Canadian Tire, knowing they were far too large, but very plain (and relatively cheap, around $25 for the set of four).

First, here are the original splash gu… Continue
