400,000 miles and counting: Sean Furlow's quest for a half million miles on his Saturn SL1

Every time Sean Furlow looks at the odometer on his 1993 Saturn SL1, he shakes his head in disbelief.

'Cash for Clunkers' becomes law

On June 25, President Obama signed into law a bill nicknamed “Cash for Clunkers,” aka the “Car Allowance Rebate System.” The program gives vehicle owners a rebate of $3,500 to $4,500 for purchasing a new, more fuel-efficient vehicle with the trade-in of a less fuel-efficient vehicle. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will write rules for the law in the next 30 days, so your Saturn retailer will likely have more information in mid-July.

Engineers From Ohio State University Win First Place at 2009 EcoCAR Competition

Recently, students from Ohio State University earned top honors at the 2009 finals of the EcoCAR: The NeXt Challenge competition in Toronto, Canada, for their design of an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV.

Students have their say on Saturn

Undergraduates at North Carolina State University in the policy and strategy class in the College of Management have a big assignment in front of them this summer. The students will be presenting six different brand strategies that reflect their ideas to change Saturn’s current way of operating. The presentations will be make their way back to Saturn via video.
